FAQ -Pet Moving- Dog Gone Taxi
Can I Clear Customs Myself?
Yes, you can clear customs yourself depending on where your final destination is. If your pet is going to the UK or Narita Japan, you will need a clearing agent. If your pet is going to China, The Philipines, India, Japan, or South Africa, It is highly recommended to have a clearing agent.
Do You Transport All Breeds?
Yes, some breeds such as snub nose or strong breeds, are restricted on MOST airlines, but there are options for Hawaii and International flights depending on your destination. We can also ship birds and Exotic pets from our subsidiary company, Airborne Animals.
Can My Pet Fly In Cold / Hot Weather?
The “too cold to fly” myth confuses many pet owners – no one wants to see their beloved family member suffer from cold or overheating. The airlines that we use are experienced in animal transport, and your pet rides in a climate-controlled section that is pressurized with the same atmospheric conditions as the cabin. While waiting for their flight (once checked in), your pet waits in an indoor area, out of the elements, where airline cargo staff keeps tabs on them. With that being said, temperatures must be between 45-85 degrees.

What Is An ISO Compatible Microchip?
An ISO-Compatible Microchip For Pets Is A Small Device (About The Size Of A Grain Of Rice) That Is Usually Injected Into The Pet’s Scruff (Top Of The Neck) Beneath The Skin. The Microchip Can Then Be Scanned By A Microchip Reader To Show A Unique Microchip Number.
There Are A Variety Of Microchips That Are On The Market, But Most Countries Require Pets To Have One That Is ISO-Compatible. This Means That The Microchip Complies With The ISO 11784 And ISO 11785 Standards, Which Are International Standards For Animal Identification Using Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology. The Microchip Contains A Unique Identification Number (Usually 15 Digits Long) That Is Used To Identify The Pet When The Microchip Is Scanned. Because This Is An International Standard, Pets With ISO-Compatible Microchips Can Be Identified And Traced Across Borders When The Microchip Is Scanned.
